Biography

 George Wilks is an up and coming musician, producer and songwriter from the South of England. He is influenced by artists such as Tom Misch, Rhys Lewis, Sam Fender, Coldplay, James Bay, Queen, and most of all Jamie Cullum, and his sound combines the styles of pop, funk, jazz, R&B, and gospel. He is starting to perform more regularly post pandemic in bars and venues across Brighton, Guildford and London usually performing as a soloist, singing while either playing piano, which would be described as his main instrument, or with an acoustic guitar. He has recently started gigging his music with a three-piece band to take his live sound to the next level, accompanied by drummer Dave Valentine and bassist Harrison White, who often co-mixes his tracks.

    His newest single is his first release since his debut EP ‘Stories Left Untold’ came out in February 2021, a 6 track project that showcased his abilities in a variety of genres, from emotive piano instrumentals to disco beats. The EP received warm reception, with multiple tracks being played on BBC Introducing radio. After being invited on to BBC Introducing York to be talk about the project, he then performed two tracks from the EP live on the show.
